Very nice!!
I have some UW saves on my HD, but I've no idea where they are in relation to the cutscenes. If you're having difficulty getting some, let me know and I'll set the game up and check out what I've got.
Are you familiar with the other remake projects around? You might be able to exchange useful information with them...
I don't think all of these are still active, but...

"Underworld Adventures" is definitely alive and kicking (see the "dev log" link)

Cool. This is great news as I thought that you had abandoned that ages ago.
As far as saves are concerned, I never usually keep any after successfully completing a run through. However its probably high time for another play through though.

Hi there,
Thanks for answering!
@Shadowcat: If you would zip up those savegames and send them my way I would be most grateful - right now I could also use some saves that are just further down than level 1 ;)
@Twisty: If you decide to have another go at the original I would very much appreciate it if you could keep a bunch of save-games from the various key points in the game - that is, before any cutscenes but also before any special events like forging the sword etc ;)

I've got the next few days off, so I'll definitely give it a bash. In the meantime, I might PM a couple of people who might have some savegames handy.
I also love the fact that your going to release an editor for this. How cool would it be to have a mod scene for this game?

Okay, I'm sending along what I have. There seem to be just four saved positions, and I've absolutely no idea whereabouts in the game any of them are :) I'll take a wild guess that they're from a completed game, and probably all quite a long way beyond level 1.

As it turned out Shadowcat had a savegame just before the Tyball and Arial cutscenes.. so I don't need saves for those anymore ;)
I still need the winning sequence so if anyone has a save just before that it would still be great. I'll post here again if I manage to get to it myself using Shadowcats saves.

I'm still pretty early into the game but I'll keep you posted as well.
b.t.w. I decided to use dosbox this time around, and it was so easy to get both uw games running with full sound.

Great! Btw - I managed to reach the winning sequence from Shadowcats saves as well so I have the three main cutscenes.
What I don't have are still:
- Dream scenes
- goblet scenes
- smith scene
And well.. anything that isn't the intro, arial, tyball or end scene ;)
But another thing that could be of great help is if you could keep an array of saves throughout the entire game - you know at least one per level plus saves at all the major quest-related dialogs/puzzles/fights/tasks. That could prove extremely useful for checking out specific features of the game. Only if it isn't too troublesome of course.
Speaking of puzzles - I got some of those working in my remake/engine. Stuff like the bullfrog puzzle on level 4, the lever puzzle on level 1 and various button/switch/lever related puzzles are now working as they should ;)
Thanks,
- Kasper
PS: I'll not be able to answer any messages or mails for a week since I'm going away on holidays.

Hmm... I still need to reinstall Underworld on my dos PC, but I have all my saves backed up. I'll let you know where they are once I check them out.
