Falling thought the goblins "dangerous potty" and thinking I'm screwed, only to find I'm on another level of the underworld and kept playing from there. Only to be hunted down by 4 lurkers. (not the forum kind either)

The moment that springs to mind from UW2 was meeting Praecor Loth in his Tomb and having to break the news to him that he is dead ... very moving.

Looking for a bloody flute so I could get the location of one of the Talismans. Couldn't find one ANYWHERE! I ran through every level a zillion times.

LMAO.
That would have to be in UW1. I had just retrieved the bones of Garamon and I was confused as to how I was to put them at ''rest''. I thought it was some bug because I kept on putting the bones by the grave and nothing happened. So, I just started over.. after a long while when I got back to that point, I tryed something I'd never thought of.. USING the bones on the grave. It was quite aggravating at the time, but now its hilarious.
In UW2, I had been searching through the sewers fruitlessly... for a while I thought I was somehow supposed to escape the castle through the sewers lol. This went on for about three weeks.. what wonder went through my mind when I finally found the huge gem... thats when the adventure really started to take foot.
Lol, such foolishness from years ago.

Well, people what can I say... Back in 1992, when there were no 3d... ID-Software just released Wolf3d which sucked (my opinion).
Then just suddenly you bought this game, were thrown in a realistic looking dungeon with realtime lighting and you were astonished by the graphics... I just waited 10 minutes by the entrance listening for the music and sound of other footsteps and shivered... (I had a Roland LAPC-1) The Sound & Music were Unbelievable...
Then I took on some courage and started entering the abyss... I heard steps from behind a door - scared to death, I opened the door... Huh, just a mouse and it's not hostile... I wiped the sweat of my forehead and took the food from the corner... - - - ...AAAAAaaaargh, I yelled, as I fell of my chair. The mouse attacked me for stealing its food...
I couldn't sleep that night... maybe be cause of the adrenalin... Or maybe be cause I had taken the first steppes in the game of my dreams... Rest is history...
To me UW still represents the ultimate gaming experience. Why? I'll tell you. There are two reasons:
1. There is a feeling of cause and need for your actions. a reason...
2. You can feel the result of your actions, you make a difference. There is feedback...
Thanks LGS... (a tear in my eye)

I am currently re-playing UW1 at the moment, and it rocks!
At first the graphics looked sort of crappier and pixely than I remembered, but after playing a little while the total immersion of the game sucked me in once again.
