Does this file actually do anything now? I rearranged the missions and did a levelskip to test it out, nothing changed.

You can start the mission you want by typing this line
starting_mission x

press shift+ctr+alt+del to skip the mission you are in. this has been in the game for a while (ever id like to say)

Yeah, but I thought maybe I could rearrange the missions in the User cfg file, there are missions in Thief Gold that I just don't want to play right now. I could just skip them but then don't get the carry over gold.

If you open up strings/missflag.str and add "skip" to the missions you want it to skip, it will do so as if they didn't even exist.
