* Fixed the crash on the level "Military warehouse".
* Fixed the crash in dialog with Professor Sakharov on the Yantar level.
* Fixed the storyline task "Meet with the Guide", now you can get it by searching Ghost's corpse.
* Fixed the bug with NPCs spawning in front of the player.
* Fixed the A-life reaction time. Now A-life spawns new NPCs more seldom. Also NPC movement speed is decreased when NPC are on different level then the player.
These changes aren't exactly negligible.
I'm only annoyed that I don't see any reference to the Duty mission about killing the bandit Poker. To me (and several other people, as I've already checked) this quest was broken, and the PDA would show Poker's location at a place where he wasn't.
Edit: Bjossi, I believe that the last two items on this list will address that issue.

They haven't fixed the respawning in Garbage and Agroprom yet, have they? :o
Maybe this:

fixes it, though I didn't notice any decrease of respawning in the areas with 1.0002 patch (the same fix was intoduced in russian only 1.0002).
But, actually, I got used to the respawning already, it's not that bad as it appears from the start. Light load and sprint help :) Some areas should be more populated than others. Garbage is more populated because it's a perfect place for cheap artifact hunters who don't like to risk venturing more dangerous areas, which I believe is quite realistic.

It still doesn't explain how new groups of bandits can come running towards you before the first fight is even over. :erm:

Yay its finally out :D. Hopefully no more over-respawning on the Garbage level. Have to test this one out.

No performance improvements, dual core optimization, etc.? Because other than that, the decreased spawning rate is about all there is in that patch that I have any interest in.

There was a 1.0002? Also, I love how they have 4 significant figures for the number of patches they intend to release.
I'm quite into my current game so I'm glad I don't have to restart it. I'll apply this patch and continue play over the weekend.

Ok I`ve tested out the Garbage level, and the patch makes a HUGE improvement with respawns :D.
As that was my only problem with the game, I`m very happy to see it fixed :D :D.

Exactly, and the same issue with Find the weapon of the Dutyer quest.
Techically speaking the quest was not broken, I found on other forums that Poker and the relevant weapon can be found and the jobs can be finished, but it's difficult if you don't know where to look for them without the map marker. Also some rumors that Poker does travel between maps, so it makes your manhunt even more difficult.

Are you sure? I tested it with 1.0002 (russian only) patch with the same fix according to readme and somehow didn't notice an improvement with respawns.

I've got that quest, and can't find Poker. Basically, I am checking every NPC in the area I am in that I can to find him but so far no luck. Searching around in Yantar now.
