If you want fun at the range that just won't quit, the Beretta Neos is an excellent choice. Good, accurate little blowback .22 semi auto, quite well-made and .22LR is cheap as fuck. You can feed a .22LR semi auto for hours and hours and only pay lunch money.

most fully automatic weapons will empty a 30 round magazine in under two seconds.
You are supposed to fire in small, 3-round bursts otherwise you will be very inaccurate! Its not that hard on a LSW or SA80, but they are designed to be accurate rather than fire fast. Those are the only automatic weapons I have used.

I thought the SA80 was just designed to be cheap?

Peace is a myth. War is pretty much here to stay forever. And you should be glad, because even with war we're still making too many babies and not enough people are dying fast enough.
Plato said it quite well thousands of years ago, "Only the dead have seen an end to war."
"Peace" and "prosperity" that folks long for is a fallacy. There's a downside to everything, and the dramatic decrease in unnatural and premature death would be quite frankly terrifying. War, murder, plague, drought, natural disasters are all checks on the growth of the population. Without them, we'd be pretty well fucked.

A world where people live forever would have horrific wars over food, but that doesn't mean that wars are a good thing, more a consequence of limited resources.

I could build the most lovely flowerbed on the hypercynical, half-formed horseshit you've been relentlessly coating this forum in since your arrival.

I believe the most remembered people who walked - and will walk - on this planet, have dedicated all their pitiful little lives to strive for peace, to make this world a better place. And I'm telling this as somebody who's often quite more Nietzchean than how you've just performed. Also Plato is one of the most arbitrarily interpreted classics.
"Any soldier worth his salt should be antiwar. And still, there are things worth fighting for." General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, U.S. Army
