I haven't had much coffee yet this morning so this all might seem a bit disjointed:
One thing for sure the attempt on ol' Donnie seemed a bit too messy to have been orchestrated by Hilary Clinton and he probably didn't have any dirt on her anyway unlike all those other people.
That being said it's plausible that it was some sort of conspiracy brought to you by some secretive politicians but probably not. The most likely scenario is that some unhinged dude who may have been a legitimate Republican at one time based on his voter registration but then got upset at the Don and decided he was going to be a hero pick-me to someone he had a crush on or something like that. It kind of reminds me of that movie with Kevin Spacey, and some other actors I can't remember, where they conspire to prove that the death penalty is bad by his character framing himself then letting the cat out of the bag after the state kills him. That might have been too complicated and deep an idea for the dude that took a shot at Mr. Potato Head.
My assumption is that the dude that tried to kill the Trumpster did so for attention and to be some kind of folk hero to the world or maybe just the far left. There are a few arguments that one could make that would'v prevented the attempt. One is the tried and true gun control argument but that'll go nowhere fast much like the shooters dead carcass. What would've prevented the attempt is better and more serious security. There was obviously a fair amount of secret service agents and other LE people on hand but it doesn't seem as though they took the overall security as seriously as they should've and their current training seems a bit lax. I would guess that for the current Pres and VP the security is much higher and the security perimeters are further out for them because they are the current occupants of the oval office. This makes me wonder if there have been foiled attempts to get close to Biden but because his security is higher and the perimeter is much larger nobody with any kind of weapon can get close enough to do what that guy did to the Don.
I think that there are a fair number of people out there on the fringes on both sides of the political spectrum that could and would make attempts on Trump and Biden but their success is highly dependent on security. My comments about a corporate millionaire conspiracy is unlikely in this scenario but it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were some secret rich guy/girl consortium trying to control who gets into office and who doesn't. In my tiny brain I was making a very loose connection to how some politicians or appointees make rules and decisions that are disastrous to small companies but then are offered cushy positions in the large corporations that stand to gain from those decisions once their tenure is up in office (see US FCC crap decisions that have all but destroyed radio stations in the US). And Trump being Trump, even after decades of running corporations, doesn't know the rules of the playground. Or the shooter could've just been unhinged in general and saw an opportunity for fifteen minutes of fame buy knocking off Trump instead of clearing a school. Maybe he was just an anti-gun activist trying to make a point in a really poorly planned out way.

We know the guy was not well-trained, because a serious shooter would have gone for the torso. Snipers don't shoot the head precisely because of what happened here: People move their heads around way too much, especially while giving speeches.
We know he was not CIA-funded (or insert black-ops organization of your choice), because he didn't have a serious sniper rilfle with a scope. The weapon he used isn't reliable past 200 meters so he had to get up close. A trained guy with a proper rifle could have shot Trump at 1,500 meters or more.
The only weird thing for me is, how did the guy know the Secret Service would let him get inside 150 meters? Did he just assume they'd be incompetent (and was luckily correct)? Or did someone tell him there would be a hole in the security? Supposedly all the real SS agents were assigned to Biden, Obama, Clinton and Harris, so Trump got the C-team leftovers plus a few random desk jockeys loaned from DHS. Thus, a confluence of a dumb shooter who had a plan that should never have worked, plus a security team whose incompetence allowed the impossible plan to work.

According to the FBI, as far as we can trust them, his phone's search history had him also looking up Brandon and the locations of his appearances as well as other high profile figures such as the FBI director and members of the British royal family. We will never know his motivations, but from all appearances he just wanted to kill someone famous.

A Seal Team can talk later, too messy.
Better to make it look unprofessional and careless so you don't go joining the dots.
Well of course, someone could prepare the whole cellphone scenario, searches on Google, random posts on social networks.
That can all be prepared, you want it to look all casual like, not planned at all.

Sounds like The Life of David Gale with Spacey, Kate Winslett and Laura Linney which I happened to watch last October when I'd broken a rib and had no internet. Glad I still have dvds.
End of intermission.

That's the movie. I was too lazy to look up the title. :thumb:
Was your internet connection through your rib?

Emergency landing for JD Vance vice president for Trump, sure I must be going "paranoid".
:erm:

Quote:
A charter plane carrying the Republican candidate for vice-president, JD Vance, was forced to make an emergency landing after a door malfunction on Friday.
The Boeing 737 had departed from an airport in Milwaukee, where the Ohio senator was attending a campaign event with police officers, and had to turn back for repairs shortly after take-off.
After being fixed, the plane continued on to Cincinnati, where Mr Vance lives.
Last week, former President Donald Trump was forced to divert course and make an emergency landing as he flew to a rally in Montana.
Mr Vance was travelling with his wife Usha, his dog Atlas, his campaign staff, and reporters when the emergency was declared on Friday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Mr Vance, Taylor VanKirk, issued a statement, saying: "The pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal."
"After declaring an emergency, Trump Force Two returned to Milwaukee. As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati.”
According to the New York Times, the pilot made an announcement about four minutes into the flight asking passengers to fasten their seatbelts.
"Secret Service agents aboard the plane reacted with confusion and laughter, and it was not immediately clear to some passengers that there was an emergency until after the plane had landed," the paper reported.
The pilot reportedly came back over the intercom after landing to apologise for the “elevated heart rates”.
Earlier this month, planes belonging to both Mr Vance and Vice-President Kamala Harris happened to coincidently be parked near each other in Wisconsin.
Having a "bit of fun", Mr Vance strolled over to the aircraft used by each US vice-president and told reporters: "I just wanted to check out my future plane."
In May, Trump's plane clipped a parked private corporate jet as it taxied on a Florida tarmac.
No injuries were reported and it was unclear whether Trump was on board the aircraft. Hours earlier he had appeared at a rally in New Jersey.

There you go, D.D.. No need for paranoia.

What, you think Lord Dampnut wanted to kill Vance to replace him with a more popular VP? I mean, it wouldn't be the first time he tried to get his VP killed, but come on, what are the odds he would do it twice?

If you even bother to read, is it unknown if Trump was on board the airplane or not.
