Affordable healthcare depends on everyone pitching in to support it. That's how healthcare works in every other developed country. Making only sick people who currently need it pay for it is what makes it expensive and unaffordable.

Except that the ACA actually IS affordable. I know. I HAVE it. The unaffordable thing is just a lie Republicans repeat hoping it will stick. It also was so long because it had to cover all the ways Republicans would try to end it.
Their one shot was trying to sink it by repealing it because of the penalization. The court decided it could not be repealed because of that but the penalization had to end. Now Republicans want credit because Democrats fought to keep it despite that being an effort to sink it in actuality.
