Wow, and I say this with the utmost respect possible. You are a douchebag of the highest order. I love it. And if you don't cash in on this, I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
Just please do us a favor of not abusing the word "friend" any further.

We'll have to take out the drug references if this romantic comedy script is going to work

Glad to hear you took her in and are stirring shit up with your mate. I firmly believe all decisions should be based on how interesting they'll make one's life.

Been there.

Is "a week or so" likely to turn into months?
ohh yeah.

Are there any precautions or special steps I need to take here?
Be firm, but be fair.

Am I going to have my house ripped apart by lunatics?
Most likely.

...she kinda asked me outright if he cheated on her when they were together because she suspected he did - and I kinda answered honestly...
...He'll have words with me most likely because she's texted him about his cheating and he suspects I told her (I did, but I've denied all knowledge, and he has no proof it was me)...
Man, you are digging a hole at a furious pace, aren't you? And with a shovel provided to you by a distraught lawyer, no less.

breaking her phone and SIM card in half, verbally abusing her because she wouldn't give him money to buy booze and drugs (he owes her £650 - US$1300)
Why the fuck did she go with him in the first place?
These tales of "women luuuurv the bad guys" sound to me like someone just making things up - no one can
really be so desperate for a boyfriend. An educated woman, lawyer, and such a doormat? Does not compute
Also, makes that friend of mine I mention in the other thread seem even more sane and sensible.

My wife only recently commented that it doesn't seem to matter how strong, sensible and intelligent a woman can be in private with other women, as soon as they are in front of a man they're interested in so many of them turn into simpering doormat-featured idiots. I myself have seen it happen on more than one occasion to women who I would've otherwise qualified as smart girls.
Anyway, looks like Stronts knows where his priorities are:
- burn the bridges with your ex-mate
- offer alcohol and sexual consolation to your distraught ex's ex
- post about it on the internet
Oh and PICS/DIVX.

This thread will be great!:D (let's face it - we don't get this kind of high drama in our mundane lives!)

I know, and that's exactly what makes me all
Of course it's natural to want to make your loved one happy, but it should be a two-way street. Why waste your love, time and money on someone who clearly doesn't love you back?
I've seen men like that, too. They're the nicest people themselves, but always fall in love with the worst kind of exploiting bitches. Oh well, I guess some people get a real kick out of martyrdom.
