Upgrading computer. Thief must be compatible - by Kin

Soon i am going to upgrade my computer and trying to make sure that it will not cause me any trouble with thief2, darkloader and fm's.
I am planning to use a motherboard with triple channel ram 3gb, Intel core i7 and windows 7. Are there any known issues with this setup for thief? I got the necessary tools like ddfix for nvidia fix and it worked fine in the past so my only concern is in the ram, cpu, os combination. Anyone running thief with this?

The biggest problems for Thief come from the graphics card, so changing the CPU and RAM shouldn't make much difference (except the multi-core issue, which ddfix sorts anyway).
That looks a pretty nifty PC, and it should all be fine for Thief, and probably Thief 4 when it comes out as well! The only problem I've heard of with Win7 is Jadon and ffox both had a problem with DarkLoader, see (

Just to emphasise though, make sure you install Thief as an administrator and turn off UAC before installing ddfix or playing any FMs.
