My current beast has held steady for over 3 years with no problems at all, but I am about to install W7-64 and I have recently felt the need for a faster processor due to music production software beginning to feel the pinch, as I seem to be using increasing amounts of software plug-ins. So I've basically decided to upgrade siognificantly, so as to be untouchable for another 3 years or so. I have made the following list of upgrade items based on cost effectiveness and power:
Total cost - £1099.95, though I will likely haggle through their customer services people as I've been a long time eBuyer customer, so Novatech have something to gain by fellating me a little.
Can anyone see any flaws in my bundle here? If I am missing something obvious in terms of tech or value, someone giving me the heads up would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I keep my current 8800GTX and use it as a PHYSX card via the hack that BikerDude posted a while back?
