Dont mean to spoil your legal fun but have you tried just phoning them? Speak to this Nick fella, you have his mobile so keep ringing him and he will be forced to deal with you there and then. At least you will find out what their side of the story is and you will be able to explain you are expecting the full refund you are entitled to.

Having on my mind the amount of money in the subject, I want to keep my expenses at possible minimum - that includes expenses for prolonged international calls. I'm keeping phone solution as the last resort.
