Painkiller has a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning. Just saying.

Most unique gun in Half-Life was the one that shot an unlimited supply of bugs. Quite handy.

I liked when you could get one of those ceiling barnacles in Opposing Force and use it to either eat enemies or move around.

I played this because I got a free disc when I bought my first decent computer with a Voodoo 3 3000 in it. Walking out of the Vortex into Nyleve falls was one of the few "wow" moments I've had with gaming. I recall extracting the screamtracker mod files so I could remix them in Modplug tracker with some effects plugins - the player engine in Unreal was a bit "clicky".

Damn, damn, damn. This is not where I wanted to post this! I blame jet lag, having just been up in the air for more hours than I can count (due to lack of fingers).
Original post:
I got started on Torment: Tides of Numenera before the weekend and it immediately feels like I remember Planescape feeling: mysterious, intriguing, surreal but still coherent. What's missing, though, is the immediate sense of humour that came with Morte. While I'm glad they didn't go for an immediate, lazy Morte expy, I do hope the game won't end up being too po-faced in what it does.
