if you use the dead body in Hlaalo Manor it seems you can put anything on it. I am testing it now with lots of useless armor (lots of light stuff)
any one else try this?

IIRC, You also have limitless storage in the entire Hlaalo Manor. I used it as my base of operations in my first run-through of the game, and none of my items disappeared.

You've got limitless storage on the floor anywhere ;)

Yes, this is a widley known fact. Since the beginning of my last few charachters, I've positioned Dark Brotherhood Assassins (and, at times, Warrior Dead 00 to keep it organized) next to the beds at Black Shalk, St. Olms Canal South-Two, and Vivec Abode. They have provided infinite storage, but it seems that after a very long amount of time has elapsed since you entered that cell, the reference to that NPC is simply disabled in your save game. To prevent this, one must use a body with "Corpse Persists," or possibly "References Persist" true. AFAIK, Hlaalo is the only one that has a persistent corpse. I think that the corpse below Tel Uvirith has persistent references, and that is why so many people use it for storage.

Yeah, if you like Loot Overflow Bags...

Loot overflow bags only pop up on the Xbox, or at least, I've never ever seen them on the PC.

There's a loot overflow bag in CS. I suppose that it is possible that the X-Box has an item limit of 128 or something, while the PC version has an item limit of 256 before the loot overflow bag pops up.
Myoldnamebroke on 28/6/2003 at 23:07
One of the devs said it was 256 in one cell for the Xbox, 1024 for the PC.

What is a loot overflow bag?
Myoldnamebroke on 29/6/2003 at 10:14
When there's too many objects loose in one cell (ie not in containers), to save memory the game creates a 'loot overfill bag' and puts a whole load of the objects in it.

It's a bag that's placed where the last item in the room was placed (once too many have been dropped.)
It says 'Loot overflow bag.'
And even if you clear out the cell, if you drop anything else from that point on, it goes into the Loot Overflow Bag. It sucks.
