If this happened in AR, the OP would simply read, "Twins fall in love, and then marry."
And everyone would cry "Old Hat!"

Fraternally-speaking:
We have so much in common! And we compliment each other so well! It's like we knew each other in a past life, or something. When we look in each other's eyes, it's like we see ourselves, it's so eerie! We're like soul mates. And this is no lie: we have the same birthdate! You know how when couples have been together for a long time, how they start to look alike? We already do!

Just because a British lawmaker said it, doesn't make it true. I've yet to see anything solid confirming this. I mean, it's only made news since that British guy used it to support his political agenda - giving adopted children the right to know who their biological parents are. If this had really happened, you'd expect it to have made news then. Looks to me like he's just repeating an urban legend, either knowingly or unknowingly.

So far as David Alton is conerned, he's a man of impeccable character who wouldn't make something like this up to support a political "agenda". So you can pretty safely conclude that he was actually told this by a judge. Now, we certainly have our fair share of wacky judges, but I would find it hard to believe they make shit like this up for larks. So far as it not getting much publicity - would you want it publicised if you accidentally married your sibling? I suspect not, which is why details of the case have been kept out of the public eye.
