Hello,
I recently installed Thief 2 on a new PC with a widescreen monitor, and the image is stretched when I use 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions. Now, when I used these resolutions on my old PC, they just letterboxed with black bars on the sides. Now, I am blind on one eye and nearsighted in the other, so a smaller resolution helps with reading text, and the letterboxing helps with seeing the entire screen with one eye. How can I make Thief go back to letterboxed instead of stretched mode? I know it's a bit of a backwards question for noemal-sighted folks, but I have no idea what I did differently setting up thief this time rather than last time on my old computer.
I'm using TafferPatcher as my fix-pack of choice.
Please and thank you.

Sounds like you need to adjust your scaling options in Windows' display settings, either that or in your monitor's settings.

I wonder if you could do whatever you want with (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149669) T2Fix instead of Tafferpatcher.
And then look in the cam.cfg file (install folder), there's a line with game_screen_size.
And there's another file named cam_ext.cfg with a display mode section. Maybe the windowed mode will suit you?
