i'm looking for jobs next week
the worst part is i left my suit at mothers
so now i have to catch a 45 pound journey back to her place to pick it up

You could always go to the interviews without a suit -- I don't bother. I'm tempted to lose the tie as well since I don't think software engineers give a damn about suits or ties. Mind you my current job offer/interview ratio is 0/3 so perhaps my suggestion is bollocks.
