40-50 degrees in Finland?
qooper on 31/7/2001 at 10:56
That's right! 40 degrees. Damn it's hot here (I'm from Finland, too).
Um... hi everybody! You probably haven't seen me before, I've been over the System Shock-forums. Wow, there's a lot of finns over here. Only a few months ago I met Tupeco, and he's from Finland. Well anyway, I came here 'cause I like Ultima Underworld. I first saw it when I was 5 or 6, my big brother played it. Yeah, I like the first one better.

Well I can't say I was very comfortable. The amazing thing is that the place seems to have some sort of air conditioning system yet every piece of metal is almost too hot to handle.
Thanks for the water, I needed that.
And I don't have an outdoors job btw. It's been generally hot lately but not *that* hot. :) That's just the factory I'm working at for the summer. Fortunately they have a good water supply.

Plus there are animals with tall legs that don't bend AT ALL. They have to lean to trees or rocks when they go to sleep. By ancient Finnish tradition they can be hunted down by the circular footprints they leave in the thick snow. Then you've got to sneak up on one and push it hard so that it falls. You have to get it right because if the animal spots you it will start twitching its legs wildly, like you would never believe, and very probably knock you out shortly. There aren't second tries in that business. This fearsome beast is called a "vååhterä".
It's always nice to meet a fellow countryman :)

My god! A 'vååhterä' you say? Yeah um... I have one of those as a pet, really nice. Should I be concerned by the way? :) :D <IMG SRC="laff.gif" border="0">
Hahaha... so, what's new? Have ya guys been playin' Ultima Underworld lately? I enjoy that game, nice plot it has.

I'm getting into it again. And this time I'm not going to stash all my keys somewhere in the lizardman level and forget where they are. I'm not falling for that again. Damn, I spent many, many, many, many hours looking for my stupid keys that one time!

It is!?
Well actually I know it. But you know, that's just too creative thinking for me. Far too advanced.
Not really but I still didn't do it. Can't remember why though.
Yes I can... wait, no I don't. See what I mean... too advanced. :)
Anyway, I'm glad that feature made a comeback in Thief 2.
