UW 2, what is it like? I've never played it before, and was wondering if its similar to uw 1. Also, in UW1, how do you make popcorn? And how do you summon monsters? I tried the spell, but the monster dosen't appear. thanks

Corn plus torch = popcorn
UW2 is my second favorite game of all time... right behind UW1. Many people fele the exact oppiste of me on this topic.

ooohhhhh.....I kept trying to use a candle.
I just got UW2 off a abandonware site and its great! Also, I have some questions:
1. How do you open the secret doors in the castle? They're all locked except for the one in your bedroom.
2.What is that dark area behind the door in the bedroom secret area? I haven't really explored it.Are there any monsters?

For those of you who know where the UW1 manuals are on my ftp site, the UW2 manuals are also available just in case you... er... lost them or something...
Hopefully they'll release UW2 for free soon and I won't have to feel like I'm doing something illegal.

ok. I have another question. I was exploring level 3 of britannia, and I came across Fissif. I got him to go peacefully, and went back up to the castle. Everybody except for Julia, and Fissif who was in his cell, was in the great hall. They are just there. They don't say anything different, they're all just there. And all the doors were closed. And I can't find Patterson anywhere. ??? Whats happening? Is it the servant strike bug? Nanna dosen't say anything. Lady Tory is still alive too. I don't have the patch, it locks up when I try to run it. Thanks

The servent bug doesn't happen until after you enter the gem, I believe. They will close doors when they go through them, no worries on that angle.
Don't know what to tell you about the game locking up.
