Unfortunately we actually don't have UW1 available for download anymore. The file was removed some time ago and the Deco Morono link to it currently leads no where (I will remove the link for now) :-(
For what it's worth I do know that the version distributed on PC Gamer was the latest patched version (Feb 9th 1993) and I never experienced this save game error with it.
