Playing the fantastic UWI again after many years, I can't remember why Goldthirst doesn't give me the reward of the gem-cutter after I have beaten the gazer in the mines. There is no problem to get his allowance for visiting his treasure chamber, so I guess I'm humble enough for this dwarf.
Does anybody know how to succeed?
Thanks in advance for any comment

Well, this is a spoiler, but since you've already played it...
Later in the game you get a giant gold nugget. That's what will make him part with the gem cutter.

Later in the game you get a giant gold nugget. That's what will make him part with the gem cutter.
:nono: You have to
tell Goldthirst that gazer was very difficult to kill. If you brag and say it was piece of cake he would only thank you.
The giant gold nugget trades for Goldthirst's jeweled axe, the best axe in the game.
P.S. I hate big spoiler tag. How do I insert 'in-text' spoiler?

I couldn't get away with claiming that, but it could be said.:cheeky:
And besides, I play it my way. "Take this gold nugget, dwarf!" Niuh:p
:tsktsk: :weird: :nono: :bored:
