hi, i have the disk version of the classic ultima underworld and have found and downloaded the xp patch. this is great and working fine except for the stupid inventory bug, which is ever prevailent. so i went on a hunt for the patch to fix this, found it, installed it and now my UW just hangs at a black screen with "EMS allocated" on it. whats up with this? is this a common problem? is there something im missing here? another patch? thanks in advance for the help, UW has always been one of my fave games and i cant wait to play it again.

Think this through for a second..
The Patch overwrote your EXE file to fix this bug.. (It's safe to guess that most every patch for a game does this.)
And what the XP-fix do..? It gets past the EMS screen! So, getting the message here? The Patch deleted the XP-fix in the EXE.
So, you'll just have to re-use the XP-fix.
