I patched the game and am able to play it with Win XP, but it seems to have some problems, which I don't know wether they suppose to be in there, but for example swimming is VERY slow, and takes about 3 minutes to swim even a short trip, like couple of meters, and moving side to side and stepping back is also very slow. Is there some kind of fix somewhere, or should I play the game that way? :(

Do you have an AMD by any chance? If so, you might wan't to do a quick search on this forum.

I had this problem using the patch, and I know of a few others as well. Nobody has a fix for the specific problem as far as I know. I just play the original in DosBox now and it runs perfectly, so I recommend that.
edit: by the way, I have an AMD cpu. Is that what causes it?

Yes cpu is AMD, the problem is not that swimming skill is low or anything, and pressing SHIFT while moving (as someone adviced before with similar problems) does not help, in fact, pressing SHIFT freezes all movement, so... guess I have to play with crappy strafing and swimming, or buy a new old computer.

I downloaded Dosbox, and now it's running smoothly and perfectly, thanks for advices. :sweat:
