Hi,
After an attack of nostalgia i decided to dig out Ultima Underworld and play it again. After reading on this forum i got the various patches and hacks needed to get it going in a windoze 2000 dos box and the game runs fine :)
However i cant get the sound working, I'm using vdmsound to try to emulate a SB on io 220 and IRQ5 but the ultima sound program says that no sound card is detected and in the game it self the sound on button will not ungrey.
Has anyone got this combination working? UU was my favourate computer game for a very long time .....

Try uwsound.exe to configue IRQ manually.
There was a time when default IRQ for most SB-compatible sound cards is 7 instead of 5, and most games pre-set the same IRQ when players choose SB as their sound card.
