thanks guys i got the ring but does anyone have any suggestions for inventory problem ive gone through this time game ok without anything disapering the last time i played my map disapered so i started again and nothing has mysteriously vanished all i need now is to get that 3 part key i have 2 parts of it and i cant remember how to get the other part does anyone remember

It would help if we knew what parts you had, but here's a quick rundown on how to get them all...
Love: Show painting of Tom to Judy on Level 5
Courage: Battle your way up from Level 7 to Level 3 in a series of hidden areas only accessable from below (entrance by the prison on L7)
Truth: Use the compound mantra hinted by one of the mages on Level 6 and find the right shrine.
With the ring, it's actually a problem if you go NEAR the centre of the room (resets the puzzle), rather than the pedastle itself. Try hugging the walls as you go around the room.
And even with the patched version, I still get the inventory bug from time to time, last time I got it, it only actually gave me the error for Level 6, so I imagine some item from that floor disappeared. Didn't have any problems finishing that game.
