I hate to say this but CoolWeb searcher gets installed on my system whenever I come here, its in one of the adverts at the top of the forum, the ones that change, one of them is cool web pretending to be an advert. I know its true cos I've tested it.
Check system. No coolweb search
log on to internet
go to half-life source. log off

I'm sorry but that isn't true.
The majority of the adverts are plain text from Google, and the remainder are controlled by ourselves, not by any of the normal ad-services.
The TTLG adverts are 100% clean, there must be another issue with your system.
(
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox) Dropping IE would be a good start to keeping your system clean.

Yup! I never had any shit or viruses on my system until I foolishly downloaded Kazaa in search of a single rare track. :o
Took half a day to remove all the spyware, despite up-to-date anti-virus, firewall and an aborted install.
Taught me a lesson, it did, Preciousssss. *Strokes PC*
