Maybe so, but on a massively reduced scale to that of IE.
Additionally, almost all of the exploits are patched quickly, and prior to the exploit making its way into the wild.

I would certainly not advocate using a browser that is so intertwined with the heart of the operating system than any exploit that can hijack the browser also has the potential to take over the entire operating system, no matter how well protected you are.

I got that again, except on a totally different website. It's definitely my problem.

So is this on my hard drive, or is my IP being given away to this Mommy Porn site? How can i get it off my computer, or how can i stop it from reappearing? I think it's slowing down my browser, too, because page loads have an added three or four seconds now.

By the way, i said i wasn't looking at any mommy porn.

Welcome to the club...

CWS is among such hijacks. Try running Ad-Aware, SpyBot S&D, if you're running XP, update to Service Pack 2.

Also, consider running (http://www.trendmicro.com) Trend Micro's free virus scan. CWS Shredder and Hijackthis! Are also valuable tools.

I used to run the customer service department for a totally legitimate, publically traded dot-com. And we used to get complaints like this one all the time.
