Um, guys, I'm sorry for asking this in a new topic for I am sure it has been answered already, but just can't find it! Please point me to the instructions on how to remap the Biomods' keyboard shortcuts... I really hate to stop the game by entering the Biomods menu or lifting my hand off me primary control keys only to tap the F1 to turn light on/off when there's plenty of free keys around the primary controls... Thanks and I'm sorry again for posting this. :o

you can't unless maybe you look some where in the default.ini file

Oh boy :( Damn X-Box!!!! :grr:
[edit] Um... where exactly in the user.ini file? or that was a joke?:weird:
Slartybartfast on 28/12/2003 at 12:23
well i havent got the full game yet but in the demo version -
in user.ini in the games root dir, all the bindings are listed:
F1=ActivateAug1
etc.
bindings are also listed in default.ini and dx2userx.ini in the system dir. dont really know which one to change, try all of them.
if that doesnt work you may need a response from someone more intellgient than me

yep. thanks-i hadn't tried that because these seem to be some defaults and not the keys I've customized (i.e. there's an "R=Reload" and R for me is Move Forward, but worth a try. I'm so lazy sometimes ;)

The .ini files would be in one of the sub-directories under the directory the game came in. I don't know how much they've changed the directory structure from Unreal and UT.
I'm guessing you've never played any Unreal games before (the Unreal line or any of the millions of games that run off one of the Unreal engines).... I'd say that at least half of the key bindings aren't listed in the on-screeen configuration utilities.... you either had to use the advanced thingie or edit the .ini files.... this was years and years before the XBox even started development.
Most games you have to manually set the taunts and such for the game that way... it's just a sad fact of life.
So you're statement (to be correct) would have to be ":( Damn lazy Ion Storm people! :grr:"
BTW, what the hell did you guys blame things on before there was an XBox?

Yep, it is a user.ini, but it's into the My Dosuments under a folder Deus Ex - Invisible War. Wee! :cheeky:

Aye, but the questionable files used to be into the
game's folder.
Whatever.

Is there a bind in the .ini files for:
dropping the currently equipped item
holstering (putting away) the currently equipped item
Even just a way of holstering the multitool would be nice.

Apologies... I spoke out of turn (about something I've had little experience with, I should know better).... obviously they made some change or another (for whatever reason) and moved them from the place that every other Unreal game I've seen has them in... even UT2003 put them in the game's sub-directories....
Excuse me... I've got to go floss this shoe-leather out of my teeth now ;)
