I just noticed that the UBB command <span style="font-family: monospace">
</span> provokes different behaviours in different browsers (see HTML below why). In MSIE5.5 empty lines are being swallowed and the font is too small, in Mozilla the font is not displayed in fixed width (like code is traditionally displayed). In all browsers (Opera5, too) unsought blank lines are inserted below the opening <span style="font-family: monospace"><hr></span> and before the closing <span style="font-family: monospace"><hr></span>.</p>
Thus to eliminate all these problems at once I propose that the code that changes UBB <span style="font-family: monospace">
content
</span> into HTML <span style="font-family: monospace"><P><BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">code:</font><HR><span style="color: #c00000"><pre>content</pre></span><HR></BLOCKQUOTE></span> should be replaced with some which rather produces HTML <span style="font-family: monospace"><P><BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">code:</font><HR><span style="color: #0000c0"><code style="font-familiy: monospace; white-space: pre">content</code></span><HR></BLOCKQUOTE></P></span>. A matter of five minutes. Thanks in advance.</p>

But do check the code Daxim provided before implementing it. It should be:
Quote:
<STRONG><P><BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">code:</font><HR><code style="font-family: monospace; white-space: pre">content</code><HR></BLOCKQUOTE></P></STRONG>
(Next time spellcheck the tags, Dax? ;))<font size=-2>
