Are you sure? A lot of people have System Restore set to enabled without them knowing.
Within Windows XP it can be accessed by right-clicking "My Computer" selecting "Properties" and then selecting the "System Restore" tab. I assume within other Windows versions it is similar.

i accedentilly did that 31-12-09 it went back to 2005 :S:S:S:S:S
so nope and i did not make new one because i had to install so much all over again and forgot about it afterwards
so anyone got a salution for me?
edit: just nog my comp restarted on playing boulderdash which for who does not know is reallly old
and when my cp restart ik sometimes get error message
but nog i got 6 system errors in 1 reboot when windows started

You mentioned that all your other games (that didn't use a CD-check) ran fine. Now you mention that Boulderdash causes a reset too. Which is interesting (and fits my earlier hypothesis):
All your CD-check-less, other games are -most likely- relatively new, and therefore are set to use a modern screen resolution. All the games that do cause the system reset use a lower screen resolution.
Is there a way for you to test this possibility? Perhaps install another old game and see if it resets your system as well? Or even better: configure one of your newer functioning games to use a low screen resolution and see if it then starts to cause resets.

settlers 2 gold i even change the screen res here from 1024 back to 640 still runs
im gonna test some more ill let you know if i find more games which don't work
