Okay I have two questions:
1st. I have challenge Varus Vatinus to a duel (The head imperial legion guy), he says to meet him in the arena at Vivec but he doesn't show up. Now I have two possible reasons, 1st I have gladiator v2 loaded don't know if that would effect this, I did try removing this mod but that didn't help. 2nd. My skills do not meet the requirements for advancement to the rank I would receive for beating him. If anyone else has had this problem any help would be appreciated, I don't want to start the main quest till I have finished with the Imperial Legion (mainly for RP reasons)
2nd. I am exploring the puzzle canal in Vivec and have gotten to the puzzle canal center and can't figure out how to get past that force field, I have the blessing that gives you full levitate but I can't cross throught the barrier. The shire in the rooms says something about breathing in his glory or something like that but I can't seem to figure out what they mean.

Still can't figure this out, thanks for the reply though, I have tried a potion of water breathing but that didn't work, can you offer up some more details please.

1) fill a sink in your bathroom with water. if you have no bathroom because you are a poor but attractive bangladeshi maid, use a bucket instead. and i will stroke your hair just like paz

Not only you but I also am having the same problem. Few other people on the official boards have this problem.
But I also suspect that in your case, as well as that of mine it is caused by gladiator 2.
Just go to arena pit and use "playatpc" command.
Kill him but you won't get the mail or the sword.
So go back to ebonheart and taunt to kill him to get them.

Good to know I am not the only one atleast. As for the command you mention what exactly do I type I have never used the console before so am not familiar with the commands.
