I installed SS2 to my Vista machine using the advice from the youtube video: How to run System Shock 2 on a Vista PC

Now I have two problems:

1. When I try to hit a monster, inventory opens up.

2. Increasing Gamma doesn't work. Even though the control panel gets lighter the game is so dark that I almost don't see anything.

"Control panel"? Uhm... you're adjusting the brightness in the game's video settings menu, right?

let's just install the game (http://www.systemshock.org/index.php/topic,106.0.html) the proper way and see what happens.
