They both sound like they could be interesting. It's been a while since there's been a good sci-fi movie.

Yea, but I could think of better female actors to play that role in The Fountain. Any then the women that's playing it.

what's your problem with Rachel Weisz?

Children of Men seems, from the trailer, to be a near exact clone of an ep of Outer Limits. But that's ok, it was a cool idea and looks good.

o shi the fountain is the new aronofsky
it's taken long enough, i wonder if it'll be any good, I really liked Pi and to a lesser (but still respectable) extent Requiem for a Dream
edit: just watched the trailer and hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wait a minute,
You PAID to see "Lady in the Water"?
That said, I've been following their development and those two movies should be pretty awesome.
Also, Rachel Weisz is not only a brilliant Academy Award winning actress but I also think one of the sexiest women on the planet.

The Fountain wasn't received very well in Cannes. To me it looks extremely pretentious and overwrought. Like Aronofsky is trying his hardest to make something that will truuuuuly blow our minds. I guess that kinda pressure comes with having made a succesfull movie. :)
Anyway I kinda like pretentious movies, so I'll definately see it. My guess is that it's a fascinating juggernaut of bad storytelling and too high ambitions, but none the less fascinating.
For Children of Men, well it has a somewhat interesting premise, and the first part of the trailer really made me interested. But the second half makes me afraid that we are talking about another over-humanistic movie, trying to be oh so moving and heartfelt. There's usually a balance where a movie, if it falls to the preaching side, will feel too much like lecture or a pathos driven feel-fest, that it's too much to handle. But still it looks interesting, but you know what destination has been paved with these oh so good intentions. ;)

I go along with your reason la, the begining is the best part of the trailer. I'm talking about the idea of the movie though. It's different and fresh. I love the idea. And about Rachel Weisz, I just didn't like her previous movies, and she ok.
