I've just got a new PC with a built-in Blu-ray drive. Since I've got Blu-rays from region A as well as from region B, I was wondering though: if I get a second drive, can I set each to a different region? Or does Windows 7 determine the overall region for the system?

Wait, how does this work? I was under the impression that PC drives weren't in any way region restricted, only stand-alone BD players, do you or the system itself still "set" them one way or the other?

If it's the same as DVD-drives, it's set by the Firmware in the drive itself. So having one Region A and one Region B is perfectly OK.

You can change the region,, what, 5 times before it locks? So, you aren't committed if you change your mind later.

With some rather questionable methods you can make any drive region free (region 0?). Very handy and pretty much necessary if you shop online a lot.
