I didn't find a TV show thread here and I bet I'm not the only one here who watches TV shows. I think the thread is a good place to discuss TV shows in general, while leaving the "what have you watched lately for movies.
So yeah, discuss your favorite shows here.
Yesterday I saw the final episode of Dexter this season. It's basically a dark thriller about a Miami police forensic expert who is also a serial killer that hunts down other criminals. The beauty of the show is how he tries to balance his fake everyday life with the bloodthirsty monster inside of him. The show has a lot of shocking twists too to keep things interesting.
Also, recently finished watching The Wire, it's a great show. Now watching The Shield in my spare time.
So, what kind of shows are you interested in? Or maybe like to recommend.

I saw this show, where this dude could calm down troublemakers, get on with the ladies, and rock the guitar like the second coming of hendrix, then I realized I was watching my own home video!
ROOOOAAAAARRRR
like a tiger!

Hello, Vic, and welcome aboard. I was sorry to hear about your brother Vincent. He was always a blast at parties- such a terrific dancer!- and I'm sure he would beaten that troubling addiction of his, given time and your loving support.
I was much less sorry, however, to learn about your demise. You always were a sick, psycho motherfucker. What you did to that girl and the cop made me sick to my stomach. Good riddance to bad baggage, I say! No offense intended, of course.
:p
Vic, you are probably going to get a gang beatdown by some of the less socialized members here for this post. Not because you did anything wrong per se, but because there is a thread (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128127) here which has become a kind of catch-all thread for all things videological. If you do get jumped, don't take any of it to heart, don't swing back, and don't carry grudges. If you can manage that last part, you'll be better off than 98% of the people here (send me a pm if you figure out how to do this because I never have).
And for the love of God, don't post any of those stupid videos of you with your straight razor- I said Vincent was a great dancer, not you! You were always so jealous of him and look where that led you!

Hah, glad to see someone got the Tarantino reference. And since my name is Vic, thought it would be a nice idea. But what did Mr. Blond do a to a girl? Don't remember that in the movie.
As for a gang beatdown, bring it on. I already said that it makes more sense for a separate TV show and movie thread, to me anyway.
Thanks, I'll give it a go.
Also, the show with Tim Roth, (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235099/) Lie To Me is pretty awesome, I suggest you guys give it a try.

You don't get to make that decision.
I saw this movie once, and it totally had this loser guy taking a shit, and he got killed by some lame bald dude over some poptarts.
It was almost as rockin' as Piglick's video.
MAN that dude taking a shit was a fucking loser, everybody laughs at him. Good thing he's dead. That movie sucked.

Hey Vic - The Shield has been a good follow up to The Wire for me, though not nearly as riveting. Some here have recommended Deadwood for fans of The Wire since it has a similar approach to story telling. I'll give it a go after Christmas.
I would also recommend the first two seasons of Weeds, Arrested Development (the greatest TV comedy EVAR) if you haven't seen it. There's also mixed feelings around here about Firefly, but I though it was tha shit. I'm a great detractor of "Big Three" sitcoms but I'm finding The Big Band Theory to have some of the best payoffs and snappy writing I've watched in awhile.
On the topic of a new "TV" thread - I've thought of starting one myself because who the hell wants to plow through 30 pages of discussion that's almost 2 years old (or whatever). Music, movies, and TV is ever changing, so I think there's merit to starting a new thread every once in awhile to replace the old one, even if some things get repeated.

I would totally fucking watch that show.
Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington with some hot chick who doesn't understand swing music.
