Of course i absolutely loved the game. revolutionary, bar raising kind of stuff. Buit i have one suggetion for its progenitor. One that im sure has been mentioned before , but i just wanted to second the motion.
MAKE IT SO YOU CAN LOOK AROUND WHILE USING A #@$%! COMPUTER!!!!!!!
There, i said it. While it is in no way complete (i.e lockpicking an multitooling), it gets at the heart of what was probably the single most frustrating thing in the game for me, which all in all was a marvelous experiece.

Yeah, but if you do something with a computer IRL, you don't look around neither. Not because you know there's nobody who wants to kill you (ok, too, a bit perhaps :)), but because even if somebody wanted to, you'd finish your task as fast as possible without looking up and then run away. IMO in DX, you have to get used to the computers and security control panels so that you haven't got to spend much time manipulating them.
As for the eMails, that's a different thing. I second the idea that something has to be done here, but I don't support being able to look up while reading one. How about being able to forward it to a webmail account which I can read without being pressed for time (or life)?
A funy thing happened to me once - I hacked a security panel, but the MJ12 troops noticed me. They didn't attack me, because I was hacking the panel, and I had control over a camera that showed me and the troops ready to kill me. I couldn't do anything but either leave the panel be and die or stay logged in forever  :erm:

This really does not make any sense to me. If you are using the computer, how do you also look around? You are wanting to do two things at the same time. I didn't have a problem with the computer at all and I certainly don't see the problem. Enemies don't attack you while you are using the computer, so why do you need to look around?
SanataClaws, I agree, as an augmented agent, I really do expect to have image capturing abilities. So yeah I don't see why we can't just read the emails later in our heads.

About that "hacked and not seen"-thing...
That has happened to me a lot, for example also, if a camrea spoted you, and you hack a sec comp, it will not cause an alarm. Troops will not shoot you (at least not all the time, I also got shot once), and if you're lucky, you can watch them seeing you on the camera... and then turn around the turret :ebil:

The small NSF security bot notices me every time I hack the security panel next door. (And it shoots too!)
