Alright, no doubt we've all read the System Schlock forums and had a twinge of nostalgia in our hearts ;) . I am here to bring some of the magic of Schlock back to us (Sounds very nice said that way, eh?).
I am creating my own TTLG comic strip, and have already finished the first 2 episodes. Yes I'm british, so I probably have what the yankees would call a 'British sense of humour', so be ready :) .
Here is (
http://www.digitalnugget.com/others/ss2/Mercury/Volatile%201.gif) Episode 1 and (
http://www.digitalnugget.com/others/ss2/Mercury/Volatile%202.gif) Episode 2 .
I'm planning on giving everyone 2 new episodes a day. Unfortunately, one of these is really a BMP file converted. I was hoping someone here could tell me what I should use to make these strips, as I'm currently using paint and the file extensions are starting to give me a headache.
Thanks for any feedback.

Using MSPaint to make them is fine, in fact I think it keeps with the uh...feeling of the first set if you seen what I mean. Once they are finished run them through the freeware <a href="http://www.irfanview.com" target="_blank">Irfanview</a> image converter to convert them to a more web-friendly filetype. gif or png should be great for these low colour comics!
Good job by the way! :thumb: :D

Ohh, I've always been sorry for popping up in the post-Shlock times, and now we have something in the likeness of that happening as we speak! Wee, wee! \:thumb:
By the way, Shevers, are you sure you mean "Volitile" and not "Volatile"?
(http://www.webster.com) vol·a·tile1 : readily vaporizable at a relatively low temperature
2 : flying or having the power to fly
3 a : LIGHTHEARTED, LIVELY b : easily aroused <volatile suspicions> c : tending to erupt into violence : EXPLOSIVE
4 a : unable to hold the attention fixed because of an inherent lightness or fickleness of disposition b : characterized by or subject to rapid or unexpected change
5 : difficult to capture or hold permanently : EVANESCENT, TRANSITORY

It's wierd, I was sure your name was David, then I saw you post a reply and thought it was Dave, now I see it's David again... ah well, as long as you can keep the Thief bandits off the TTLG Volatile ;) .
Tej, thanks for the spelling help. I had no idea until now...
Hey, perhaps it's time to add to my rusty old sig for the first time since I joined...

Proud to be hosting all current comic strips!
I should really copy and paste this:
I'm happy to host your comic, but make sure that you add them to the index, and don't forget to change the "edited by" at the bottom of the page. You can get all details in the "No need to ask...just use it!" thread - (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70805) .
Failure to comply will result in your comic being covered in a soft squishy annelid.
You know, mspaint can save in BMP, GIF, JPG, TIFF, and PNG. No need for all this fancy conversion software...

Wuggles can you explain that a bit more clearly, please? I don't quite understand, maybe I'm just dumb today. I can't find the info in your thread.
Thanks.

MSPaint with XP and 2000 can indeed save in the extra formats, however it does not provide any options to optimise the output. Besides, Irfanview is more useful than just single file conversion.

Wuggles, I did what it told me to do, I thought I did it right, but apparently I didn't. Can you please have a look and see what I did wrong?
