Ask what you want. But the main reason TTLG is still relevant after all this time is Thief and the work of Fan Mission authors and the players keeping the spirit alive.
EDIT...so I don't think it's all out of line or beneath a seasoned pro to make him aware of the fan community and the work we've done and his thoughts on the subject.
I spent two hours this morning working up Garrett lines for Yandros' campaign that he, I and others have spent about the last ten years working things out. I think Steve might be quite moved that he helped create such a thing that has inspired such fun and fan loyalty.

@Sly - OK, but are there any actual questions you want to ask? We've ruled out asking him to voice lines for FMs (multiple times) but I'm at least open to hearing other suggestions related to FMs.

The last FM I've played was Equilibrium, on release. And I'm still here, even without FMs. TTLG stays relevant for different reasons to different people.

It's not that FMs are a taboo or something, mate. I think that telling him about it, listening to his thoughts about it etc, is one thing, and asking him to participate is another. It's not that the question is wrong, per sé, but I think it would force him to look for a diplomatic answer to get out of an embarassing situation, because he would know how much it means to us. Anyway, it's Brethren's interview, he will do as he pleases.

Yeah, Thief and FMs are popular, no doubt, but I tend to think the reason people keep coming back here is simply the legacy of LGS. Games like Arx, Thief 3, the Bioshocks, Fallout 3/4, Oblivion/Skyrim, Deus Ex 3 & 4, Thief 2014, Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Underworld Ascendant, and System Shock 3 (among others) just wouldn't exist or be the same without Looking Glass' influence.
And hey, what do most of those games have in common? SR did voicework for them.

The question (or rather request) I'm most interested in is whether it would be possible to get access to the internal Thief console documentation (there must be *some*). :-)

@Luthien - Stephen is a voice actor only, and was never an official employee of Looking Glass. He wouldn't have access to anything like that.

You think you could ask him to do Garrett for fan missions?
::ducks::

Theres always a lot of things that don't make it into a game. I would like to ask him if he remembers any material that was cut from release. Any lines that weren't used etc.

My question to Stephen Russell: Do you ever play the games you do voice work for?

Oh, I always thought Garrett's voice acting had been done by one of the developers.
