Hi 'blue. Nice of you to drop in occassionally and to post pics of the ferrets. I don't have any digital pics of my clan, which is dwindling.
My dog had to be put down a few years ago. She had the equivalent of humans Cushing's disease. In the end she couldn't even lift her head and just whimpered.
My wascally wabbit decided to curl up his toes the very day I was taking him to the vet to be checked out. Boy do I feel like crap for not taking him earlier. I can't help wondering if I had, maybe he could have been saved with some drugs. Still don't know what was wrong with him.
Two cats on their last legs. One is about 17 and her kidneys are shutting down. The other has always had problems with her eyes. The were always dilated way more than they should. Rarely would they close down to slits. Now she is about 99% blind and finding it very difficult to cope. Can't find the food, water or litter tray.

I had 5 ferrets. My ex-wife and I divorced, and I moved down to Charleston, SC w/my brother, leaving the pets w/her. BIG mistake. She started feeding them fucking CHEAP cat food (full of corn...ferrets are carnivores and can't even digest grains :mad: ). She ended up giving them away to a rescue shelter upon my pleading her to give them to someone who gave a damn. She was, at one time, a great ferret-mom. She just stopped giving a fuck, for some reason. I even got a picture of Reuben published in a national ferret magazine for 'cutest ferret'. He won me a subscription and some prizes. /end rant

Ferrets are tougher to keep than a lot of people expect. There's the food thing, the can't-eat-fruit thing, the interesting diseases, the cancers, the smell, the places where they are illegal, the it's-not-a-rodent thing, the recliner thing, the theft thing...
but they sure are cute little buggers.
