Ok, what kind of time do these things usually kick off?
I need to sort out trains and stuff.
David on 8/7/2006 at 19:49
I'd suggest somewhere around 2pm. It should give most people the chance to get there without finding out what their town is like at 3am.

Ok, trains and hotel booked whether anyone else turns up or not.
If I win my world cup fantasy league maybe I'll buy y'all a pint. MAYBE

Make that a double, bar-keep.
No worries, I'll be there for sure. So if it turns out to be just two or three people we can at least get an awesome game of pool/foosball going to determine just who is the better man out of all of us.
(clue: it's me)
Where then?

flight booked. :) w00t!
As I remember last time the meeting point was Victoria Station, why not start from there again?

Since I now live in the heaving metropolis that is Luton (i.e. a 30 min train journey from King's Cross), it'd be rude not to turn up to this meet, really. Also, since I never managed to be at any of the previous meets I should at least make an effort.
So, barring any events-beyond-my-control TM (a.k.a. "Acts of God"), I shall be there as well.

Also, wtf, didn't I post before itt
I'm in as well. I dunno if I'll have a permanent home here by then, but fuck that, I went to two spontaneous barbecue parties during the week in the past four days, so I can sure as hell terrorise London with you mongs on the weekend.

You mentioned it in (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107742) your own thread, I think.
Anyway, maybe we should come up with some sort of code phrase, so we can identify each other. I suggest:
Q: "Do you know what time it is?"
A: "It's Hammer Time!"
Clichéd maybe, but oh-so-cool.
Alternatively, we can just PM each other our mobile nos. ;)

Are we talking about (
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?t=h&om=1&ie=UTF8&ll=51.503721,-0.118243&spn=0.002481,0.005032) Jubilee Gardens? Because that's not a bad idea, although depending on how long we're going to be hanging around there it would be worth working out whether to take any booze or food because there's not really many things resembling supermarkets in the centre of london.
The other good thing about that spot is that it's relatively close to (just across the river on the hungerford bridge and a short walk from) (
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?t=h&om=1&ie=UTF8&ll=51.509176,-0.118623&spn=0.00119,0.002516) This awesome PUB SHIP which is both cheap and cheerful and also a very pleasant (if the Thames isn't rolling it too much) place to spend a sunny afternoon - up on the deck, with a beer (if that takes your fancy) but most importantly a view of a lot of London's finer sights (HoP/Big Ben, Canary Wharf in the distance, etc).
edit: the ship doesn't go anywhere, i should add, it's permanently fixed to the North Bank. But it can rock and roll a little bit.
