I won't be attending any meet this year, as I am an irredeemable sociopath (© OnionBob), but I really must insist that you guys come and have one at this end of the country either next year or the year after (2007 Liverpool's 800th birthday, 2008 Liverpool European Capital of Culture). Accommodation for at least half a dozen people in my spacious des-res too :cool:.

Okie dokey, Cambridge and London seem the popular choices, so I've added a POLL in true Internet nerd stylee.
These are the dates I am proposing. Seeing as the train system in the UK sucks and you can't get a train home after 11pm without changing 11 times I'd suggest booking a hotel or Travelodge. Or your own house.
(They are all Saturdays)
* 22nd July
* 29th July
* 5th August
* 12th August

I thought I'd be a dickhead and vote, so you can probably discount one of those "Either" votes :(

Actually, could I change mine from Cambridge to "London" please. I think Cambridge would be cool but London is vastly convenient. I would also offer some accommodation if it was in London.
As for dates, I can't make it in July, so 5th August would be good :)

Excuse me... but I think you will find that edinburgh was seconded.. (I can't commit to either london or cambridge just now, though I expect london is more convieniant. Either one is a very mind numbing train journey there and back from inverness/scotland - if I go I am getting a flight!)

I'm tempted to come and meet you fatties in person this year.
However, I would prefer Cambridge because
a) hotels are a more reasonable price
b) Beer is a more reasonable price (+++)
c) I can vomit in the comfort of my own hotel room rather than on the 11:20 to Glasgow
d) I won't wake up on an empty train in Glasgow
e) On a purely selfish level here, I've never been to Cambridge

Well Cambridge or London, I'll definately show up to this one. I'd obviously rather prefer London since I live there; but Cambridge is a short hop away and ive never been there.
So in conlcusion, lets hurry up and arrange this you bastards.
