Scrolling down pages takes forever, typing this very message the text appears a short time after I hit the keys...is this just to spite me, or is it a wider inconvenience everyone's experiencing. I don't think it's to do with my computer or internet since other websites seem to be fine.

Erm. The only thing TTLG has to do with this is how fast it loads. Everything else is your computer's fault.

on some pages I am getting 8Mbps and on others I am getting only 1.2.
Something is screwy out there.
Personally I think it is sunspots or the Taliban.
I just havent been able to trace it.
I must re-align the flux capacitor.:thumb:
Seriously though, some pages that used to just pop up are lagging bad recently.

Sounds like you have a computer problem. Try using an anti-virus. Then use an anti-spyware program like ad aware. If those two fail you, then you might have worse problems elsewhere.

Seriously don't think that's the problem.
I am kind of fanatical about anti-viruses and firewalls.
But I am worried about the elsewhere.:(

I ran a complete database maintenance this afternoon, just in case there was any problems with the forums themselves, see if it's better now.

Damn low ping wall hackers!

I had the exact same problem... exactly.
I switched from IE6 to Firebird. Fixed.
Apparently I was lacking a Microsoft IE "hotfix" update... whatever the hell that is.

Good choice on getting a new browser.
