For starters, I just got the green light for an interview with one of the devs from Lunar Software (Routine). Apparently they're big fans of LGS/IR/ISA and were eager to do a Q&A. Putting together a list of questions now, you guys feel free to submit some via PM and I'll try to cover everything. This might be a good "launch" feature to get people over to the front page once we've made whatever other changes are needed.

It's done and up on Al_B's remake of the article page. I'm not a tech guy, so I'm just waiting for someone to update the layout.

Hm, the new frontpage is up now. It really caught me by surprise. :cheeky:
Only issue I see with it is that the font (or font size rather) is different from that of the forums. Otherwise, major improvement from the old frontpage.

It's very much a work in progress but we wanted to see when people would spot it :D. So far it's pretty much a base to allow us to get news items written and published more efficiently than the old front page(s) allowed. We're hoping to develop it further and if people have the skill (and time!) to assist in areas particularly design and writing articles then feel free to give myself or fett a shout.

Might I suggest that you add a "Comments" link at the bottom of each entry? Maybe you could somehow have each post automatically generate a thread? It'd make for a natural link between the frontpage posts and the forums. Might be easier to bring new posters to the forums if it's through a bright and official looking frontpage than expecting them to dive straight into the murky backwaters of the forums. :p

The new front page looks nice. :)
But there are two things I want to mention:
The "Top Forums" box on the left is only there on "Home" and "Thief"; it is not there on "System Shock", "Dishonored" and so on. (I am using Opera.)
And (not regarding the new style) might I suggest to make the NewDark news "Thief 2 and System Shock 2 Updates Found" be seeable on "Thief" and "System Shock"? I can only see it on "Home".

You could do the box with rounded corners using plain CSS (border-radius). There's no need to use a background picture like there once was.
Also the "Through the Looking Glass" could be just text instead of an image. Works better with search engines and scales better.
And yeah, there are some weird fonts and font-sizes.
But apart from these minor things this is a huge step forward, especially if it's easy to feed. Keep it up!
