Ha ha, Scots is a lightwieght. Who'd have thought? Nice one guys. Still awaiting pics :thumb:
Coming second to me hardly makes him a lightweight

Haha nice description Shug, especially the yakkin it bit.
It was a good night, truth be told, although <strike>Shug and</strike> I hit the rum very quickly as soon as we got back to our partially furnished apartment. He and his girlfriend were excellent company, pretty soon into the night we were chatting like old friends. Shug and I gossiped TTLG-style and the ladies promptly ignored us.
That rain soaked run was probably the funniest part. The "It doesn't look too heavy" became a bit of a running joke. That bouncer took one look at us and I was sure that there would be some reason for him to knock us back. If it had just been the girls with wet t-shirts they would've got in fine, but Shug and I sporting shirts that emphasised our nipples to George Clooney Batman proportions didn't work too well for us. :(
After a lollin arm-wrestle, the harsh mistress known as Bundy put me under the whip and cracked me a couple of times in the guts. Not very pleasant. A sad end to an excellent night. I didn't realise how quickly we got through a practically full bottle... a bit overindulgent I must say.
Saying that, given how I ended up, Shug is a fucking scary alcoholic.
All will be well now that we've got a dining table... next TTLG brisbane will involve middle aged discussions around wine and meat.

I think it was the time frame more than the amount that had the effect...
My "bottle of vodka in two hours" days are gone :(

The British pound is worth a lot more in Aussie dollars than US ones you know ;)

Yeah, Shug's right... it was consumption per unit time rather than consumption per unit of alcohol. We smashed that whole bottle in roughly an hour ... I've only done that once before, with a bottle of Jack Daniels, and it had a similar effect. :)
Pics will come with computer assemblage which is happening this week.
