I own Ender's Game, but haven't read it yet, so I'd be for it.

Dirt Music By Tim Winton is one incredible novel, best to come out of Australia in a long time
So is this a submission? Since these threads stimulate the discussion of books in general I'm not going to count anything as a suggestion unless it's worded as such.

if they have this in the oxfam bookshop down the road, then I'm there
otherwise, perhaps I'm still there.

Looks like I'll be getting this sucker 2nd hand. INTERNET makes this process quite frustrating, however. I realise that UK postal costs have recently gone up and that I should be chastised in the pocket for my online-buying laziness, but if you advertise a 2nd hand book at £2.50 (yay!) and then charge £3 postage (boo!) IT'S NOT REALLY A SECOND HAND PRICE ANY MORE. Especially when play.com will sell it for £5.99 brand new and sans postage.
The best I've found is about £4.50 .. which I suppose isn't too bad, really.
But maybe my good buddies at TTLG know a secret online bookshop selling them for 50p, or something. Indeed, if anyone has some HOT TIPS for 2nd hand (or new) booksellers, let's hear them. Ignoring the obvious Amazon Marketplace, Play etc ...

I just bought Wasp Factory on Amazon, and along with some textbooks it should be here by the 25th. 184 pages is light, so even amongst my stacks of required reading I should be able to squeeze it in.
BEAR on 23/9/2006 at 06:06
I read it already :(
I should have checked out more books so I had others on hand :(

WHERE'S MY WASP FACTORY TOPIC! I had a huge long analysis/opinion of this book but it is slowly draining from my head as time passes and I forget details of the book.
