I resubmit <U>Motherless Brooklyn</U> by Jonathan Lethem.

Obviously, I'm 100% behind this resubmission.

I haven't read that one specifically, but Gun, With Occasional Music was good, so I wouldn't be averse to reading another of his books.

How long has this book club been around? Can anyone link me the old threads? I'd hate to reccomend something already read.
I probably won't make a reccomendation anyway, as I'm sure my literary accomplishments are meager compared to most.

Only a couple months. We've read Life of Pi and The Big Sleep, and this month's book is The Wasp Factory.

Hell no dude this book club is for everyone. Make a suggestion, pick up <U>The Wasp Factory</U>, and dive right in.
So far we've read:
<U>Life of Pi</U> by Yann Martel (August)
<U>The Big Sleep</U> by Raymond Chandler (September)
Upcoming is:
<U>The Wasp Factory</U> by Iain Banks (October)
Previous threads:
* (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107408) The very first thread which lays out most of the suggested rules (and in which we discuss Life of Pi)
* (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107552) September's selection (<U>The Big Sleep</U>)
* (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108192) October's selection oh shi it's this thread

In this for the next one. I don't usually read fiction (truth is so much more interesting, no?) but I just stumbled across a copy of The Wasp Factory at a local charity store, and who am I to argue with serendipity?

The same Strontium Dog who would argue with anyone else!
But seriously, the more the merrier.

Wow, Life of Pi was the book I was thinking of reccomending. Once I finish what I'm reading now I'll start on The Wasp Factory.

Tsk, it seems every single Iain Banks book *except* "The Wasp Factory" is in my library at the moment. If YOU borrowed it, let me know when you'll be done.
For November, I'd like to suggest Invisible Cities by wacky funster Italo Calvino. Mostly because I've read his "If On A Winter's Night A Traveller" and I selfishly want to read more. Of him.
