Just had a website (a ROM site) change my startpage on IE which forever has been the TTLG forums main page. So I went back to TTLG and dragged the icon onto the "house" on the IE toolbar and the startpage went back to TTLG. Then I ran Spybot and updated it.
Strange, though, the Address line has the Looking Glass logo man in front of the "http". Pretty cool, but I'm just wondering why it appeared there when it was never there before. Any clues?

Playing with Spybot must have done it, 'cause it wasn't there before. I'm always the last to the party.;)

Not in this case. How do I get that thing to appear again?

The custom icon will appear when you add the page to your favorites/bookmarks. If the site is already in your favorites, delete it and re-add it. For me, the custom icons last about 2 days (in IE) then they disappear again (probably as my cache reaches its limit and gets automatically cleared out).
You can also set your own custom icons for your shortcuts if you want to... Copy the icon(s) you want to a folder on your hard drive, then right-click the shortcut(s) in your favorites and choose "Properties" then "Change Icon" and browse to the *.ico file(s) you want.
The TTLG icons are as follows:
(right-click and "Save Target As..." then rename as desired)
