I've just had a quick Arma 2 session with Neb, which was very enjoyable, and it's made me think that it might be cool to have a couple more TTLGers join in. Are there any here who play the occasional Arma 2 (or these days even Arma 3) sessions? Would you be up for small co-op games every now and then? I'm pretty much a beginner, at least as far as MP is concerned, so I think this would very much be newbie-friendly games of getting together, getting shot at and the like. Official and user-made missions, but nothing in the way of required mods.
Anyone interested, please let us know. At the moment we've got tentative plans for a session next Saturday at 4pm UK time.

I'd be up for it, but it's pretty hit or miss whether I'm available at any given time. 4 or 5 GMT isn't bad though.

Yeh same I do enjoy arma2, but am in Australia so time differences (not to mention ping) could be a problem.

Might be up for Arma 3 once they get that game fleshed out.
Though, most of my experience with Arma was using the "VBS 2" version of the software. The interface is pretty much the same so I should be good.

I've started a Steam group, which should help us organise things. You can join here: (
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ArmaTTLG). We can pretty much take it on an ad-hoc basis whether you can join or not; small co-op missions seem to work just fine for groups of 2-8 people.
I'm pretty much a MP beginner myself, so while I'm happy to host, for the moment I think I'd be glad if others could take over command when we play. Other than that, let's just see how this goes, what's fun and what isn't, and take it from there.
I've got a fair number of co-op missions downloaded; any tips for missions that are great fun with small groups?

Membership by invite only :(
I have everything from OFP onwards on my perma-install list so I'm good with whatever you want to play. Hell, some of the default missions in CWC are actually pretty awesome.

Oops. Have changed the permissions.

I might be able to join in for an hour on Saturday. Just... don't ask me to fly anything. I ended the F-23 tutorial mission with my plane hanging out of a tree.

I'm always up for Arma, and it was fun to do a few small bite-sized missions rather than the large pub and organised clusterfucks which I usually go for. :cheeky:

If any helicopters need to be flown, I'm happy to do so. I only crash into trees 1 in 4 times. :-)
In any case, cool to see that there are a few people interested in joining! Especially since I'm still pretty new to Arma co-op, I'm happy not to take on any leadership responsibility, and the more others there are, the more likely it is that I can just follow orders while trying not to shoot any civilians.
On Saturday I should be online shortly before 4pm UK time, so we can then join up on Steam (is anyone using the non-Steam version?). Beyond that, I won't necessarily manage every Saturday evening, but I'm happy for others to go ahead. Should I give any permissions on the Steam group so others can use it to arrange meet-ups?
