(My 12th novel coming out in July, it's also my first book for adults, yay eeep *panic*!)
Wait wait wait what is this?

My association with TTLG is probably the definition of "intermittent" I actually registered in the summer of 2000 under a different name, with no real intention of sticking around other than to ask about what the apples did to Garrett and what this Blooper reel was. The only other website I posted regularly was Rolling Stone, under the naive impression that music was actually something that could be discussed. But as the internet was a new toy to me then, I actually grew to like hanging around here and reading threads and giving my small contributions to the discussions. Yet for some reason I could never really come out of my proverbial shell around here, as much as I liked it. In a few other websites I was more outgoing. Eventually I grew to really dislike Rolling Stone, all the stupid bickering over who was into the coolest band and the flame wars. I was also a regular at another game website, bit the atmosphere was maybe just a bit *too* nice, with no harsh language allowed, only cute pictures...blah blah woof woof. So that fell by the wayside too.
There have been periods, perhaps amounting to years, when I never visited TTLG. But you know what? I've realised that I *love* Thief. Maybe just a cool video game to some, but by that token Beethoven could be thought of as a writer of catchy tunes. So, I have always returned here from time to time, never really feeling fully "one of da boys", but....oh I don't know. We've got history, man. Wasn't it Oscasr Wilde who said "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."? No, I think it was someone shorter and hairier. Whatever. Perhaps too I could claim dubious credit for unknowingly assuming the nickname of a serial killer, as I originally was "BTK", a simple abbreviation of the letters of my real name. Actually it's "BTD", but I've heard there's weird people on the net and I didn't want to divulge something as personal as my initials! So it became "B...T.....oh I don't know.....um......K. Yeah BTK I'll call myself." Well heck I thought I'd only be around for one post, and I could never get into all this Crumpled Applesauce nick stuff. I wasn't too pleased to hear on the news 5 years later of a serial killer called BTK being jailed, so I abruptly asked for a name change.
Yeah so as long as TTLG is around, I'm sure to make 14 posts yearly. Cheers!

A-ha, THAT'S why you slag my english - literary envious grudge? ;)

Heh. Congrats on the newest novel - is this the lesbians with corncobs finally making its debut?
My period of feeling inadequate about writing/opinions etc was some time ago, Vas, to the tune of nearly 8 years ago. Nowadays I just wish I had more time to invest in writing and blathering about stuff but I'm confident in what I do and don't do well.
So if I ever have a problem with your English or your posts, it's definitely not related to that. :D

Thanks! Nope, that eventually metamorphosed into entirely something else. Big hot feminist lesbians, with a touch of Xena magic, Thiefy sneaking and adventure :cheeky: This one is spefi with just a bit of autoerotica
Matthew, my books are only in Finnish.

1999, 11 years?
Under another nick back then.
Until 2000, I couldn't resist Martian Gothic Unification, Martin Karne's crack jokes.

Time flies when you're in a great place.

Still a few months to go before my 10th anniversary. Hard to believe so much time has passed indeed.

I'll make 10 years before 2012 doomsday! Party at my house on doomsday woo hoo!
This place has characters which beats hell out of character any day. You folks are interesting. I wouldn't leave you alone with my daughter or my dog but I wouldn't stab you in the eye for disagreeing with me. You can stay on my lawn.
