Hi folks!
I need help with an expermient/bet I am trying to do, staying as long as possible awake, testing my limits. This is my third night without sleep but I am running out of things to do, got any good ideas?
Back in my military service time my record was four days, but it was easy, everything was extremely busy so that there was no time to think about sleeping at all; we had to do maneuvers all day and night, this time its much harder.
I've read books and magazines, cleaned my basement, played computer games (which is just too hard without any sleep) and listened to music for hours. I tried caffeine but that stuff always had very little effect on me. Chatting with friends is getting a bit complicated, I am starting to type reeeaaallly slow .
Any ideas?
What I also wanted to ask, are there any serious health risks?

Moar coffee?
And yeah, chances are you'll die or have a heart attack, if you don't sleep for some while longer (I'd estimate 2 days??).
Oh, read the full post. Well, good luck dying! If I can help you with that, I'd recommend some metal music, some minesweeper (yes!) and maybe hitting yourself once in a while to get you back to reality.

No way, all my buddies in the military managed to stay awake the mandatory 2.5 days without major problems, you start getting braindead a little but thats it. I want to stay awake for at least 3 another days. (Which makes 6 days)
Coffee doesnt work at all, I am not so tired, but time is passsing extremely slow, I am just waiting...

You cannot die from not sleeping, you certainly will fall asleep at some point, and thats far from death.
Will do!

Have a walk while it's cold outside, that helps good! Also, a cold shower can do miracles.

This is a great idea, this should give me some extra-hours, you cannot fall asleep while walking and its time consuming & easy to do. The really hard part is staying awake at night when everyone else is asleep, everything is quiet, watching at the clock and time just wont pass...you know.

Temporarily maybe.

Did you clear this thread with AR Master? If not, I demand its removal, or I'll give you dethtoll. So help me God I will!
Have you tried masturbation with an old, dried out batting glove? That'll surely keep you up, in one way or the other.

Cold water/showers, plenty of sunlight and fasting. Steady mild exercise also can help you stay awake...it can also keep dementia at bay for a bit.

Here's what you can do - send me your excess life energy so that I can have more time to do productive things.

Welcome to my life. To stay awake long hours at night, I usually pick up the guitar, jam on the keys, or just write a song on the computer with Hypersonic2. If you aren't musically equipped, get creative. Build something. I once stayed up for just under 4 straight days, all because I wanted to finish building this mini pirate ship I made out of popsicle sticks. Two days later I soaked it in alcohol, lit it on fire, and sent it down the river with a few pirate action figures to pilot its course. Do you paint? Paint something. Write about your crazy thoughts, lack of sleep makes you think of some pretty crazy stuff. Have clay and a webcam? Make a stop-motion animation. You don't even need clay for that one. You good with electronics? Try to figure out SPI communications for me, I've been up for weeks (collectively) trying on that one.
Wow, I'm tired. Good night, and luck:thumb:
