Trying to beat the game with a specific ending... - by kodan50

So, I am back in NYC when Paul is in the hotel room and sitting on the chair, when they activate his killswich, and when you are supposed to send the signal to NSF ... Is it possible to NOT join the NSF? I wanted a run where UNATCO wins whatever they are trying to do... Is it possible? I've tried everything I can! I even skipped seeing Paul and went right to the subway that joins Hell's kitchen with Battery park, and all you get is Anna Navara with no script, and Herman with no script, then 30 second later they all pump you full of iron.. Which isn't logical because I hadn't done anything to tick them off... Stupid helicopter pilot...
Also, sorry for the spoil tags. I tried to cover up the main points in case people havent gotten there yet... Uh, this is for Deus Ex 1 :)

It's an 8 year old game. You can discuss it openly.
As for what you're asking, no there isn't.

Oh, okay. It is a pain trying not to mess it up for anyone else...
Now, why the heck can't I serve UNATCO till the end? DARN IT I WANT NSF DEAD AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER OF FEMA/MAJESTIC12/UNATCO where only the rich survive and everyone else dies >_<' You know, because that was the run I wanted to achieve this time.. Instead of always being the good guy...

You can choose the illuminati ending, and kill a lot of people along the way.
DX is different from mainstream's open-ended games: The overall narrative progression is linear, but you can go for certain playstyles within the game context, i.e. rambo, sniper, ninja, ghost, etc.

Meh, I can live with that. It just seems like a drastic change from killing every NSF person I see, to suddenly working for them after a single level. All the evidence I saw was on Data Cubes... I'm sure a lot of it could have been forged over the years... I mean, if Deus Ex is based on conspiracy, then you can't put it past the NSF to forge a few documents here and there...

You were killing them, you psycho? We're cops, not soldiers. :p
